Oh goodness....more anime hair *shudders*

Seriously, working with anime hairstyles is just....not a thing that works well in yarn. Ever. But my issues as an unprofessional hair stylist aside, I was very pleased with how Sora here turned out.

The Kingdom Hearts series is one of my top ten favorite gaming series, so I've been wanting to make more dolls from it for a long time now. I've got a rough sketch for a Riku doll as well...but I'm not happy with it at the moment. Looking for a defining outfit more than anything I think.

With Sora however, I went with his KH2 outfit design, as that tends to be the one that most people identify him with. The detailing on his body and how lovely his keyblade turned out are easily my favorite things about this doll. Though you can't see it properly thanks to his black jacket, Sora does indeed have a hood on his back as well. :)

Time: 4-6 hours
Materials: Yarn, thread, buttons, sculpy, paint, poly-fil, poly beads

I don't have patterns for any of my dolls actually. I custom make each one - from concept sketch to crocheting and sculpting the pieces - and there is just no way for me to write down the process as step by step instructions, beyond those for making the blank head and body. I actually sell the piece that I make at conventions and online, so I take commissions for my creations instead. :)

Thanks! And as for the keyblade, I just carefully sculpt it and painted it while looking at lots of references. : P One day I may attempt to make resin molds so I'm not sculpting by hand every time...
