So I doubt most of you know that I used to post this kind of stuff on deviantart all the time. I have a user name that still has my old work up for archival purposes (and I'm not mean enough to delete things from people's galleries), so while I could put it up there, I feel my art style has changed quite a bit in 10 years and have decided to keep this with all of my crafting work.
More pieces like this can be found under my scrap book (including the initial sketch of this picture), but I'll be keeping the few finished traditional art pieces I do in my main gallery.
Now with that out of the way-
This piece was really a labor of love for me. It started when I saw this image randomly a few years back and just fell in love with using it for a fanfic piece I wrote around the same time. Time was just never on my side to do something selfish (ie not craft related) so I kept putting it off and putting it off, but always thinking about it now and then.
Well, when I was working on some cover art design and had finished the sketches faster than I'd planned, I decided to just go ahead and draw out what I wanted. And I just loved it even more. Time was hard to come by then for awhile so while I started the painting of this back in March, I was only just able to finish it today.
Right from the start I knew I wanted to paint it with watercolors and I do not regret this choice. Really, I'm just so happy to have finally finished this and have it turn out just how I'd pictured it at the start.
Time: Unknown Materials: Water color paper and paint, Pencil
You finally finished it !! It looks great dear. you've always had a way with water color and fabric and I think the pose work real well. great job!!! <3
